This One Goes Out to All the Toast

Today, I made foil-wrapped salmon and roasted broccoli. I was going to make rice, but I forgot, so we just had toasted sandwich bread instead. The toast was, by far, the best part.

Ya win some, ya lose some. And sometimes ya roast already smoked salmon for 25 minutes without it occurring to you that it is already cooked. Also, same with the broccoli, which was actually frozen broccoli and I guess that's different than fresh when you cook it. Hindsight is such a waste of perfect vision.

Here's the thing, though. We ate, and we enjoyed our toast, and we had extra muffins afterwards. No one's day was ruined. We had a family meal together.

So here's to toast!
